I’ve yet to write the post about circumcision that I’ve been toying with. Meanwhile, OTD has done it for me.
It’s a great answer to some rabbi who asked about OTD’s opinion on it and I agree with just about every word.
I’m a little unsure about the interpretation of the data on the link to the National Jewish Population Survey about only 42% of Orthodox remaining that way. I think that was true of the older generation more than the younger ones. In any case and much to my continual amazement, Orthodoxy is actually getting younger.
But that’s just a quibble and it has nothing to do with the point about this needless surgery. If you read the post you’ll know how I feel, too.
